Conducted by Oxford Economics, the study examines the economic impact of the music industry on gross value added, employment, and tax revenue in the Hanseatic city, as well as its significant spillover effects on neighbouring sectors such as tourism.
The study commissioned by Hamburg Music reveals for the first time the contribution local music entrepreneurs make to Hamburg's economic strength and, therefore, its prosperity. Conducted by Oxford Economics, the study examines the economic impact of the music industry on gross value added, employment, and tax revenue in the Hanseatic city, as well as its significant spillover effects on neighboring sectors such as tourism.
The study was funded by the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, the Ministry of Culture and Media, and financially supported by numerous companies in Hamburg's music industry.
